Affiliations:
As a first year nursing student, I was forever influenced by instructor Lois McMullen. Lois emphasized how emotional, mental, and spiritual care affects physical well-being of patients and families. I witnessed this reality throughout my nursing career amid many hospital environments, nursing homes, medical offices, and while caring for family and friends. I developed my nursing skills and delivery of care based on the mind-body connection.
With age and time, new scientific discoveries about psychoneuroimmunology, the human energy field, and the power of music as medicine I felt compelled to seek information about Complementary and Alternative Therapies especially Reiki and Hypnosis.
I have been married since 1972, have two children and two grandchildren. My interests include biking, gardening, and photography.
